The legal controversies coming out of Florida have made me question a lot of things - particularly the reactions of so many of my fellow human beings (I'm using the term loosely when it comes to you Ted).
I was so angry I just wanted to fight - to lash out at the simple wrongness of it all.
But you can’t fight human nature…
I no longer believe we can fix the world’s problems. They’re always going to be there - because they all result from human nature.
And I don’t believe we can change that.
It makes me want to give up. Why bother? Why keep working to make things better – to help other people?
You put out one fire, and two others spring right up…
Thankfully, I’ve been blessed to have a couple “do-gooders” in my life. And I can say that while I don’t think they’ve changed the world – they sure changed it for me.
So now that the dust has settled a bit, I want to say to all you “do-gooders” out there…
THANK YOU.
Thanks for fighting the good fight – even if it feels hopeless.
Thanks for having the hope that so many of the rest of us don’t.
Thanks for giving me hope that maybe I’m wrong – that maybe down the road things can change for the better.
Keep doing your good work.
Any light that is in the world is because of you.
Please don’t quit on the rest of us.
